ASX is one of the world’s leading financial market exchanges, offering a full suite of services, including listings, trading, clearing and settlement, across a comprehensive range of asset classes. With a market capitalisation of around $1.5 trillion, ASX is home to some of the world’s leading resource, finance and technology companies.
The ASX is often considered a technology company itself so it comes as no surprise that the organisations workplace technology platforms play a critical part in their operations.
POMT has worked with the ASX continuously for over 5 years. We provide:
Technologies deployed include AV, Conferencing & Collaboration, Workspace Management and Media Distribution.
POMT has had the privilege to work with the ASX on a number of unique projects such as their Exchange Square headquarters with public facing market displays, unique client facing event spaces including a purpose built tiered theatre with broadcast capability and immersive data visualisation spaces used to display unique ASX product and market information.
We also worked on the ASX’s Customer Support Centre (CSC) which was born out of a vision to create a place to provide customers with end-to-end support; bringing together its technology, operations and market surveillance teams. The CSC, within ASX’s Australian Liquidity Centre (ALC) located on Sydney’s North Shore, is engineered to facilitate collaboration among its range of community members, including:
At the heart of the solution for the operational floor is a large format video wall, comprising 28 edgeless displays and projectors. The video wall is broken up into different functional areas, monitoring live data, connections and a RSS feeds. Every screen is configurable to allow teams to set up the video wall to best suit events as they develop. Eighteen additional ‘cluster’ LCDs have been placed in locations around the floor for ASX teams to monitor their own areas of responsibility or to work as a team on specific joint tasks. Videoconferencing facilities allow the operational and technical teams, working on a rotational basis at the ALC, to collaborate with their colleagues at ASX’s HQ.
It was also critical for the ASX that staff working in the non-CBD location of the ALC did not feel cut off from their head office colleagues. There is a multi-purpose training room, multiple collaborative and small internal meeting rooms; plus high-end client meeting and demonstration spaces. Large format screens in a verandah-style hospitality and informal space allow all ALC staff to participate in town hall meetings and presentations.
